December Favorites 2021

What better way to end the year than with a new segment of articles! Introducing my monthly favorites, where I give a little peak into my life by sharing the things that I have been absolutely loving during the month.

#5 Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 + No. 5

The Olaplex Hair Perfector system has been all the rave for revitalizing damaged hair recently, and after reading plenty of reviews and watching countless YouTube videos trying to figure out whether these products would work on curly and textured hair such as my own I caved into buying them.

But I was pleasantly surprised. The Olaplex system is comprised of a multi-step and multi-product process, but I opted for just ordering a couple of them first before buying the whole set. I ordered the No. 0 Bond Treatment, No. 3 Hair Perfector, and No. 5 Bond Conditioner. Unfortunately, my No. 0 Bond Treatment arrived broken and most of it had leaked out the box before I could get my hands on it. Instead of waiting for myself to exchange the damaged one for a new one (which I have still yet to do-- grr) I still decided to try the rest of the ones I ordered.

After a couple of uses of the No. 3 and No. 5 I have seen a surprisingly positive difference in my curl pattern, and I will be trying the rest of the system out.

Olaplex products can be found at Sephora:

#4 Demonia "Camel 311" Platform Boots

These boots are absolutely eye-catching and when I wear them I feel a whole two feet taller.

The white ones that I have go with almost anything, but they do get dirty easily.

These boots also come in the colors pink, brown, and black.

The main reason why I bought these shoes was for their reasonable price ($115) and they had nothing but five star reviews on their site.

The only caveat I have about these boots are that they kind of hurt, which might be due to how heavy they are.

All of the reviews online told me to size up, I am usually a 7.5 so I decided to get an 8. But I am now thinking I should have sized down because they do feel like I have a bit of wiggle room, and if they were tighter it might make them easier to walk in.

But they are so cute! Beauty is pain I guess.

#3 Bar Vegan

This amazing restaurant and cocktail bar is owned by the Slutty Vegan founder Aisha “Pinky” Cole and is located at the Ponce City Market in Atlanta.

The entire menu is vegan, and you can find everything from vegan philly cheesesteaks to casamigos bottle service on there.

The ambiance and decor is absolutely amazing, and the last time I was there they had a dj which helped liven the mood.

I have gone for a casual lunch meeting and for a evening date and both have been amazing experiences.

#2 Glossier "Body Hero" Oil Body Wash

As apart of my birthday gift to myself I purchased a lot more than I should at Glossier.

This included the "Complete Body Hero Kit" that includes an exfoliating bar, daily oil body wash, moisturizer, and their dry-touch oil mist. I also purchased their "You" perfume and signature cherry-tinted lip gloss.

My favorites and the ones that I recommend out of everything include the exfoliating bar, daily oil wash, and the "you" perfume.

All three smell heavenly and are worth the money in my opinion.
